Technically, I should be working on my blog header... if you follow this page you might have noticed a few changes in the layout, and the header is one of them. The graphic itself is half-done at best, but I felt even something half-finished would be nicer than recycling a piece that I'd already posted.
(All right, if we're going to really get into prioritization, I should stop checking books out of the library every week and study some more calculus and anatomy, right? ...right?)
In the general spirit of half-doneness around here though, I thought it might be interesting to post some process images on a piece. My workflow changes significantly depending on my references and media.
This process in particular is one I employ while predominately working from my head. I'll build up the original concept by working from multiple references, so as to make the gesture and proportions more believable.
